When you first get so disgusted with yourself that you know you're going to do it this time. Really take control. Eat better and move more. Well, it's almost easy. It's the making up your mind that's hard and when you've done that it's all autopilot. But then time rolls by. A year a half this time. You meet your goals. You get to a place where you feel okay. And you start to slip. Just here and there. Just a little. But you know how it goes. You've wrestled with this all your life. It will never go away. And once the slipping starts, you will fall all the way back to the bottom if you can't catch yourself.
So you've done that. For months now you've been teetering back on forth on the edge, giving it your all one day and saying screw it on another. And this week you managed to get to that place again where's there's a little excitement and a lot of determination.
It sucks to know that this will never go away. It never will be a non-issue. It will always eat at your self-esteem and make you hate yourself if you aren't careful. But it makes you feel good to know that you've learned how to manage it. At least for right now. One day at a time.
Try this at home:
What do you struggle to keep under control?
