How (Not) to Toe the Line

The pretty purple color of your broken toe would be nice to look at, if say it were on your wall, and not say on your foot.

But there it is, in all it's blue, black glory. From the front to the back, it's a band of bruise.

It doesn't hurt that much, which is surprising. You'd think that something broken would hurt more. But it's more painful to look at than to feel. It's creepy to think that you have done something terribly wrong to your body. You broke part of your body!

It's a good thing it's spring. You'll break out the cute flip flops and hope the temperatures stay warm. What does it say about your vanity that your biggest worry is that you won't be able to exercise and you'll gain weight?

And how did you do this thing to yourself? In the dumbest, most obvious way possible. Your dog drinks too much water if left unattended and pukes up the extra on the floor. You hear her gorging herself and shot up from the couch to stop her. Except that you didn't see the coffee table in your way and bam--three little piggies rammed into the wood. Your child undoubtedly learned a new cascade of swear words as you sat down to have a cry.

But it's okay. It's just part of being human. We're all breakable. You wanted sensuality. There's nothing more sensual than pain.

Try this at home:
What bones have you broken?
