Taking responsibility isn't fun. It's not sensual. Not enjoyable. But necessary. And the rewards you reap are worth it.
The scale creeps up. It's a daily battle. You're a hedonist. You can't help it. Before you know it, the food is in your mouth and you're wishing it wasn't. Too late. Tastes great. Down the gullet, but you'll pay for it later.
So, start again. For real this time. Not like last week when you said the same thing and went back to bad habits. You've done it once. Maybe 50 times. You know you can do it. You know the feeling of success and pride when the numbers dip down, when the pants fit just a little better, when you're digging old clothes out of the attic with a smile on your face, pleased that they seem almost new because your body is new.
It's better to start before it gets out of control. It's so easy to let it get out of control.
Why wait? Start now.
Try this at home:
Do you diet?

I hear ya' sister-I just "started again" myself, using my lunch hour to stock up on healthy work day snacks to stash around my office.
It's a struggle, that's for sure, but those looser pants do make it all worth while!
haha! i have a shell account for comments....
anyhoodle, to answer your question: all the f'in time. it's kind of a constant monitoring, with more or less stringency depending on the day. i've been toying with the idea of every year officially dieting between john's birthday in september and my own. i did it last year, and it's a nice little doable timeframe, and i like the idea of having a yearly maintenance goal w.r.t. my body; telling myself that every year, on my birthday, i will be in the same shape.
