How to Plan a Trip

If you'd rather live in a world of possibilities instead of a world of realities, planning is the best part.

Consider all of your choices, even knowing that in the end you'll be constrained by budget, time and fear. Imagine if you weren't afraid? Of long plane rides. Of two year olds on long plane rides. Of strange food that you worry might make you throw up. Of bad hotel rooms. Of spending too much money. Of being taken advantage of by locals in a place where you don't speak the language. If you're a worrier, it's easy to come up with worries.

Now that would be a trip. One day when you're less afraid and more highly evolved, you'll have to make that trip.

But as for now, know that you'll stick to the straight and narrow path. But the straight and narrow path can still be a lot of fun! Getting away from life for a little while is a joy. Standing in the sun when it's freezing at home is a joy. Swimming in clear water on a rocky beach is a joy. Which joy should you choose? What a difficult decision when the world is so open to you.

Try this at home:
Where would you like to vacation?
