How to Spin the Wheel

Your mother bought Gideon his first Tinker Toy set last weekend. As with many of Gideon's toys, your husband seems to really enjoy them. So far, he's built giant planes, cars, a tower taller than the couch and tonight the piece de resistance, a Tinker Toy ferris wheel. It took your husband half an hour to build it and took Gideon one minute to destroy it.

You think it's pretty cool that your husband can build things so well. When you met him, you thought he was a computer geek. Turned out he's a computer geek with a weirdly creative side who can also install lighting fixtures and play the piano. You don't meet a guy like that every day.

When you were little Tinker Toys weren't neon and you seem to remember them being wood. But, still, it's fun to see your kid playing with a toy you remember playing with as a child.

Now bring on the Barbies! Lacroix, darling. Lacroix!

Try this at home:
What was your favorite childhood toy?
