How to Fix It. Yes She Can!

No, this isn't a reference to Hillary Clinton. It's a reference to Bob the Builder. You are Roxanne the Builder today!

Your mom got Gideon a supercool ride on jeep and you had Toys R Us put it together for you precisely because you didn't want to make your husband do one more annoying "manly" task like put together a giant toy car. (Although he might have thought it was kind of fun. He does really like Tinker Toys, Legos and Geotrax.)

But Toys R Us forgot to tell you that they didn't connect the battery wires and after 12 hours of charging, the Jeep still was at a standstill. So as your kid slept you called the manufacturer to try and figure out why the car wasn't working and you ended up having to do some minor surgery.

At first you thought you might have to bring the car back into the "shop" but after annoying the hell out of the poor Toys R Us employees you figured it out and made the car go! Yippeeee!

This reminded you that you don't give yourself enough credit and you are too afraid in general. Whenever you have trouble with something, it's easy to turn it over to Marc because he's good at a lot of things. But over the years this has probably led to you feeling incompetent and worried about doing everything wrong. It was good that he wasn't around today and that you made up your mind that you could do it yourself.

Competence is a very good feeling.

Try this at home:
What's one thing you didn't think you could do, but you did?
